NOTICE OF RACE

2018 Stonington Around the Buoys Race

After Party at Mystic Shipyard 

RACE COURSE:                  General Area Stonington Harbor Latimer Light:

Race course will be delineated with Race Instructions to be issued via Email on or before race date. The race format will be similar to a Point 2 Point Race with each participant recording their own start and finish times.

RACE TIME:                             13:00

GENERAL INSTRUCTION:         Cruising Canvas Only (No Spinnakers)

Protests:                             Only if contact between boats

Penalties:                              Contact with a race mark/buoy requires vessel to                                                  perform 360

Communications:                 Monitor Channel 01A for communications between                                                participants. 

HANDICAPPING:                      All boats will have a PHRF corrected for individual                                                 boat setup and actual times will be adjusted using                                                 their Time-on-Time TCF. Handicapping will be done                                               by the Rear Commodore.

STARTING LINE:                             This is a Point to Point Race. The Race course will be                                             distributed in advance via E mail on or                                                                 before June  11^th.

ENGINES:                                Must be OFF 5 minutes prior to the start of the race

RACE CANCELLED:                   All boats will be notified via E Mail  if the race is to                                                 be cancelled due to weather.

WHISKER POLES:                  Must be affixed to the mast  (boat poles may not                                           be used)
